Cancellation policy

Weather cancellations from our side: full refund or free rebook, no time limit.

Payment

• Deposit: minimum 50% to confirm — or pay 100% upfront.
• Accepted: VTC Pay (international cards + Vietnamese bank transfer). Bank transfer coming soon.
• All prices are quoted in Vietnamese Đồng (VND). Currency conversion handled by your card provider at checkout.
• Receipt sent by email after payment. Original invoice available on request.

Booking confirmation

• Most bookings: we review and confirm within 12 hours, then send a payment link.
• Selected dates marked "Instant book": confirmed immediately on successful payment.
• Final pickup time, meeting point, and weather notes sent the evening before tour day.

Children's policy (default)

Each tour may have specific rules — see the tour page. General defaults:

• Under 5 years: free
• Ages 5–10: 50% off
• Ages 11+: full adult price

Safety & insurance

• All tours include third-party liability insurance through our local underwriter.
• You are still responsible for personal travel insurance — we strongly recommend you have one before activities involving kayak, swim, hike, or boat.
• Guides reserve the right to alter route or cancel based on weather or unsafe conditions.

Privacy

We collect only what we need to run your booking: name, email, phone, nationality (some tours), and dietary requirements. We never sell your data or share it with third parties beyond what's needed to run the tour (boat captain, transport driver, partner guides).

Terms of service

By booking with Cat Ba Outdoors, you agree to participate at your own risk and follow guide instructions. Disputes are resolved under Vietnamese law in Hai Phong jurisdiction.
